Measure accurately. Act rapidly. Partner with patients.
The MAP framework serves as the guideline-directed and evidence-based quality improvement approach to blood pressure management. This framework was developed to address common drivers of uncontrolled blood pressure: inaccurate blood pressure measurement leading to diagnostic uncertainty, resistance to therapeutic treatment and treatment non-adherence. All three components work together to achieve improved blood pressure control and provide a phased, systematic approach to implementing quality improvement in hypertension.
